Privacy policy

This website presents the project Refugee Insect Production for Food and Feed (RefIPro). It is published by RAISE – Research & Action for Income Security. We only collect personal data that is relevant, and we process it in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act. We keep personal data only for as long as necessary or required by law.

2. What information we collect

• When you visit the website: technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit. This is recorded in the web server’s logs.
• When you contact us by email: your name, email address and the content of your message.
• When you accept cookies: see section 3.

The website has no newsletter sign-up, membership, contact forms or payments, and we do not use statistics or marketing tools.

3. Cookies

We use Complianz to manage your consent. Necessary cookies are set automatically to make the website work and to remember your cookie choice. Videos from YouTube are only loaded if you accept – YouTube (Google) may then set its own cookies. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. 4. Data processors and third parties

• Simply.com: hosting of the website and server logs.
• YouTube (Google): only if you accept cookies and play an embedded video. Google’s own privacy policy then applies.

Fonts are loaded from our own server, so no data is sent to Google Fonts. Our data processors may only process personal data on our instructions.

5. Purpose and legal basis

• To run and secure the website – legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
• To answer your enquiries – legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
• To show embedded videos – your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

6. How long we keep data

• Server logs: for a limited period, typically up to 180 days.
• Email enquiries: 6–12 months after the last contact.
• Your cookie choice: up to 12 months, after which we ask again.

7. Disclosure of information

We do not sell personal data, and we only share it with the data processors mentioned above.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
• have incorrect data corrected
• have your data deleted, where the law allows
• restrict or object to our processing
• withdraw your consent at any time
• complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), www.datatilsynet.dk
